Dissemination and strengthening of the social economy

The measure supports the establishment and growth of socially-driven enterprises and cultural and creative enterprises carrying out investment programmes with a strong territorial impact. Interventions must aim at the labour and social inclusion of vulnerable individuals, environmental sustainability and sustainable tourism, or the protection and valorisation of historical-cultural assets. The aid consists of a subsidised loan complemented by an ordinary long-term bank loan.

For Ustica: It may be of interest to social cooperatives, social enterprises, and cultural and creative enterprises in Ustica operating or emerging in sustainable tourism, environmental protection, or the enhancement of historical and cultural heritage. The measure provides a long-term loan at a heavily subsidised interest rate for investment programmes with a major impact on the local community.

Who can apply

Social enterprises registered in the dedicated section of the Business Register, social cooperatives and their consortia (L. 381/1991), cooperative companies qualifying as ONLUS, and cultural and creative enterprises (CCIs) established as partnerships or corporations.

Funding

Subsidised loan for up to 15 years (with a grace period of up to 4 years) at a subsidised interest rate of 0.5% per annum, to be paired with a commercial bank loan under market terms of the same duration. Specific amounts are not indicated in the text.
